Lucky bamboo plants are a popular choice for homes that follow Vaastu principles and seek to enhance their décor with plants. These plants can thrive both indoors and outdoors, but most people prefer to keep them indoors. However, their growth tends to be slow inside the house.

It is rare for lucky bamboo plants to bloom, especially when kept indoors, which is why many people never see them flower. When grown in the ground, these plants can take decades to bloom.

Jinnappa Alva, a resident of Dakshina Kannada district, has surprised everyone with the blooming of his lucky bamboo plants after 14 years. Jinnappa brought the plant home 14 years ago, and the flowers that have now bloomed are a cause for celebration.

Jinnappa initially brought the plant from Kuke Subramanya, believing it to be a lucky plant. He placed it in the prayer room of his house. As the plant grew, he moved it outside near the Tulsi plant, where he watered it daily.

Now, after 14 years, the lucky bamboo plant has blossomed for the first time. Typically, people do not let these plants grow large enough to flower. However, Jinnappa’s attentive care has allowed him to witness this rare event.

The key takeaway is that lucky bamboo plants, commonly found in the market, can bloom when planted in soil outside the house and cared for properly, rather than being kept indoors.
