Man is charged with attempted murder after teenager suffered horrifying bloody injury when he was stabbed in broad daylight

A teenager was stabbed in broad daylight and left to helplessly pour out blood in the street as passersby looked on in horror.

Terrifying footage of the London attack shows an 18-year-old dressed in a tracksuit and black puffer jacket clutch his neck while a pool of red liquid forms on the floor.

Onlookers can be heard saying ‘oh my god’ as an individual apparently armed with a long weapon casually leaves the scene on Blackstock Road in Finsbury Park.

The victim can be seen unzipping his coat and inspecting the injury in disbelief.

The Met Police said 22-year-old Mert Guner, of no fixed address, appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on January 18, charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

They added he would next appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on February 17 and an 18-year-old man being treated for stab injuries had now been discharged from hospital.

A Capital City College spokesperson, which runs Finsbury Park Centre, said: ‘We can confirm that, on 14 January, one of our students sustained a non-life-threatening injury outside the premises of our Finsbury Park centre.

‘The front entrance to the building was temporarily closed to assist relevant authorities.

‘Our priority is to ensure the safety and well-being of all our students and staff, and we are providing support to anyone affected.’
