It seems as if Alejandro Garnacho might just be swapping Manchester Red for Chelsea Blue soon enough, as latest reports state that the Argentine will be sent off to Stamford Bridge in exchange for Blues’ striker Christopher Nkunku.

According to earlier reports, the United winger has been considering a move away from the Red Devils after his tussle with boss Amorim following a series of contentious events, starting with his absence from the starting XI for the Europa League final last month.

While initial claims expected United to demand £50 million for Garnacho’s services, the club is now eyeing close to £70 million for their homegrown winger.

The Sun has now revealed he is preparing for a move after being told by Amorim to find a new club, while The Telegraph has reported that Stamford Bridge shall be his new destination, possibly.

United are in dire need of firepower, especially up front in the No. 9 spot, and making a deal to swap the winger for Nkunku might just be a step in a promising direction for them currently.

Nkunku, meanwhile, struggled for regular game time under Enzo Maresca last season and found himself behind Cole Palmer, making just nine Premier League starts.

The French attacker is well known to Man United’s director of recruitment, Christopher Vivell, who previously served as technical director at both Chelsea and RB Leipzig – Nkunku’s former club before his move to Stamford Bridge two years ago.

Nkunku has four years remaining on his initial six-year deal at Stamford Bridge, while Garnacho’s contract runs until June 2028.

The two Premier League clubs are reportedly ‘fully aware’ of the situation regarding their two forwards but have yet to take any initial steps towards a potential summer deal.

Amorim is trying to reshape his squad after a dismal campaign and has already seen Matheus Cunha arrive from Wolves. More signings will be needed, while Amorim will also be eager to offload unwanted stars such as Rashford, Garnacho, Sancho, and Antony.
