Premier League side Manchester United are reportedly inching close to a deal to bring Benjamin Sesko to Old Trafford from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.
The Red Devils have been in pursuit of the Slovenian forward, battling interest from Newcastle, and are expected to complete the signing of the striker, who also seems to prefer a move to OT.

Newcastle made an offer worth around the £80 million mark, which was accepted by Leipzig, while United submitted a bid £5M of the Toons’ offer, hinging on the player’s personal preferences to make the switch to Manchester.
While the player seems to be fixated on a switch to Man United, there is no agreement between the club yet, as they look to iron out crucial details.
The 22-year-old has been regarded as a highly valuable asset in a market lacking natural goal scorers. United are eager to sign the Leipzig star to enhance their performance after a disappointing last season.
United have reportedly made the striker their top priority in the transfer window, although English forward Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa remains an option.
Sesko scored 13 goals and provided five assists in 33 appearances for Leipzig in the previous Bundesliga season, helping his team secure seventh place in the German top-flight with 51 points from 34 games.
United finished a dismal 15th in the Premier League during a forgettable season under Ruben Amorim, who assumed control of the team midway through the campaign after the departure of former coach Erik Ten Hag. They aim to return to their winning ways as they undergo a significant period of transition.

However, the Red Devils will need to fend off competition from Newcastle, who have also shown interest in the young forward due to concerns over the future of their star player Alexander Isak, who appears to be pushing for a move away from the Tyneside club.
