Colors TV’s beloved show, Mangal Lakshmi, has completed a successful run of 400 episodes. The Deepika Singh and Naman Shaw starrer never fails to entertain the viewers and secure its place in the TRP charts. With its intriguing storyline, intense performances by the cast and high-octane drama, the family show keeps viewers glued to their television screens. Now, the makers celebrated the occasion with a cake-cutting ceremony. Several pictures and videos of the moment have surfaced online.
In the video shared on Instagram, the lead actress Deepika Singh was seen cutting a huge cake while being surrounded by the cast and crew. As soon as the video gained traction, social media users flocked to the comments section to congratulate the team. Many filled the post with heart and fire emoticons, while others called it their ‘most favourite show’.
Not long ago, Deepika Singh also dropped a video of the celebration and thanked fans for their love and support. She penned, “Thank you to all the viewers of our show Mangal Lakshmi because of you all, we as a team are witnessing and celebrating this day. Grateful to each one of you. Mangal Lakshmi airs from Monday to Sunday at 6 PM on Colors TV. It features an ensemble cast including Deepika Singh, Shubham Dipta, Urvashi Upadhya, Naman Shaw, Sanika Amit, Anchal Sahu, Shagun Pandey, Tanvi Dogra, Arshiya Sharma and Sania Mistry. The plot revolves around the bond and lives of two sisters, Mangal and Lakshmi.
Headlined by Deepika Singh, the actress portrays Mangal, her sister Lakshmi’s guardian and confidante. Both sisters, Mangal and Lakshmi, share the same fate of having husbands who don’t love them. Lakshmi’s husband, Kartik, however, understands and respects her, unlike Mangal’s husband, Adit, who constantly belittles her for being uneducated and traditional.
The soap opera later shows Mangal and Adit got separated after Adit’s extramarital affair got exposed. Adit’s mother throws him out of the house for betraying Mangal. In contrast, Kartik’s mother envies Lakshmi’s closeness to her son. Directed by Faheim Ahmad, the family drama continues to attract viewers with its emotionally charged plot.
