Anupamaa continues to captivate audiences with Rupali Ganguly leading the show, despite shifts in the cast. The ongoing wedding of Raahi and Prem, played by Adrija Roy and Shivam Khajuria, has added excitement to the storyline, but fans are eagerly awaiting unexpected twists. As per recent reports, popular TV actor Manish Goel is set to join the show, promising even more drama. While details of his role remain under wraps, speculation suggests he might portray Raahi’s biological father, though this remains unconfirmed.
Leaked pictures of Manish Goel’s look have sparked curiosity, as his rugged appearance—dressed in a jail uniform with long hair and a grown beard—bears a striking resemblance to Anuj Kapadia’s transformation during last year’s time leap. Back then, Gaurav Khanna’s character was depicted as a homeless man. Goel’s look hints at a past spent in prison, and his entry is expected to shake up the dynamics between the Shah and Kothari families.
Before joining Anupamaa, Manish Goel has been a part of several popular TV shows, including Just Mohabbat, CID, Ghar Ek Mandir, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, and Mehndi Tere Naam Ki, among others. Despite his long-standing career in the industry, Goel previously revealed in an interview with ETimes that his journey was far from easy. He faced numerous struggles before finally gaining recognition as an actor.
He said, “When I came to Mumbai 25 years ago, I faced challenges due to my complexion. I was dark and not conventionally good looking. So, I took up whatever came my way, from being slapped four times in a scene for a show, portraying the lead actor’s best friend, to being a crowd actor in TVCs. However, my life turned around following the success of my music video Dil Le Gayi Kudi (1998), leading to lead roles in many TV shows. I went through 100 auditions over three years and finally landed the role of the antagonist in Ayushman Bhava. That changed the trajectory of my career.”
Apart from Rupali Ganguly, Adrija Roy and Shivam Khajuria, Anupamaa also features Alpana Buch, Arvind Vaidya, Manish Naggdev, Miloni Kapadia, Krutika Desai, Varun Kasturia, and Zalak Desai in key roles.
