Married At First Sight groom Adrian Araouzou sensationally threatened to quit the show after an explosive confrontation with producers.
The incident unfolded when he discovered he was axed from an official Channel Nine ad campaign.
The fashion entrepreneur, 36, had a meltdown of epic proportions when he realised he was the only groom left out of the promotional shoot, despite believing he was ‘carrying the series on his back’.
An insider told Daily Mail Australia that Adrian Araouzou lost it when he learned the campaign would feature his bride Awhina Rutene, alongside Jamie Marinos, Jacqueline Burfoot, Dave Thomas, Ryan Donnelly, Paul Antoine, and Billy Belcher, while he was snubbed.
‘He genuinely thought he was the star of the show. He was fuming when he realised he wasn’t included,’ the source spilled.
‘He kept saying, “I’m the only one making this show interesting! How could they leave me out?”‘

The situation quickly spiralled when Adrian stormed over to production, demanding an explanation.
When he didn’t get the answers he wanted, he erupted in anger, reportedly threatening to leak illegally recorded private conversations with producers.
‘He started making threats, saying he had secret recordings that would expose how the show was really made,’ the insider revealed.
‘It was full-blown chaos. He was shouting at the crew and refusing to film.’
After the dramatic standoff, Adrian refused to take part in the rest of the publicity day.
Instead, he packed his bags, abandoned his apartment, and left his wedding ring behind—leaving his bride Awhina completely blindsided.
‘Poor Awhina came home to find all of Adrian’s stuff gone,’ the source shared. ‘She had no idea he was leaving. The only thing he left behind was his wedding ring.’
Addressing the incident, Adrian told Daily Mail Australia there was far more to the story than just the commercial snub.

‘It wasn’t just about the ad,’ he explained.
‘There were things happening behind the scenes that led up to that moment.’
The outspoken groom admitted he felt mistreated and frustrated when he was suddenly told he wasn’t needed for the shoot, particularly given the gruelling filming conditions.
‘I was walking over to the set, and then suddenly I was told I wasn’t needed. It was 50-degree heat, and I was stuck in a tent for hours with no answers,’ he fumed.
While he now acknowledges why production may have been hesitant to include him, he remains frustrated by the lack of communication.
‘Looking back, if I was mistreated by Channel Nine, I get why they may have been cautious. But at the time, I was just really annoyed.
Despite his fiery exit, Adrian was ultimately convinced to stay on the show, though insiders claim his relationship with Awhina never fully recovered from the dramatic walkout.
‘Things were already rocky between them, but this was the final nail in the coffin,’ the insider revealed.
‘It was the beginning of the end.’
