Megyn Kelly hires former MAGA megastar for plum role at her growing media empire

Megyn Kelly has hired former top Trump aide Hope Hicks to be chief operating officer at her podcasting company Devil May Care Media.

Kelly announced Hicks’ hiring Monday morning in a statement, where she hailed Hicks as ‘exactly the kind of woman I want running my company with me.’

‘[S]trong, smart, strategic and the embodiment of class and poise,’ she said of the 36-year-old senior advisor to the first Trump administration, who will now help Kelly grow Devil May Care as it expands its slate of podcasts.

The brand is also set to hire a new set of stars as well. Personalities already there include ex-ABC exec Mark Halperin, TikToker Link Lauren, political pundit Emily Jashinsky and opinion columnist Maureen Callahan.

‘Megyn has used her talent, integrity, and unparalleled credibility to create content unlike anything else available today,’ Hicks said in her own statement.

‘In the past several months, she has used her impeccable eye for talent and ever-growing platform to launch other worthy names under the MK Media umbrella with impressive results.’

She added how ‘there are many more exciting opportunities ahead’ and that she’s ‘incredibly humbled and thrilled to be joining.’

In her new role, Hicks will keep tabs on Devil May Care’s daily doings while reporting to Kelly directly. She will also lead business development and growth opportunities for the brand, a press release said.

‘She’s at the top of a growing media conglomerate and there’s no limit to where she can take it; my best-in-the-business staff and I are thrilled to have her on board,’ Kelly, 54, said.

Hicks – whose served as White House Communications Director and Counselor under the president – called Kelly’s company ‘a flourishing business.’

‘The Megyn Kelly Show’ launched as an audio-only podcast in September 2020 along with the Devil May Care Brand.

The podcast was picked up by SiriusXM in 2021 and transformed into a live, daily radio broadcast. Video was quickly added as well, as were a number of other shows under Kelly’s oeuvre.

They include: ‘The Nerve with Maureen Callahan’, ‘Next Up with Mark Halperin’, ‘Spot On with Link Lauren,’ and ‘After Party with Emily Jashinsky.’

A true crime channel featuring Kelly is also expected to debut August 6, showrunners said.
