Sheer black hose and black loafers completed the fashion icon’s look.
‘From Wim Wenders to Martin Scorsese, from Todd Haynes to Steven Spielberg via Kelly Reichardt, she stands out as one of the most emblematic contemporary actresses with a magnetic gesture, as intense as it is delicate,’ the Deauville American Film Festival wrote in a statement.
The festival also praised Williams for her ‘admirable artistic freedom.’
Each year, the celebrities being honored inaugurate their cabins, which later become a tourist attraction in the city in Northern France.
Each are named for film industry luminaries who have visited the quaint seaside town.
This year, Natalie Portman, 43, is also being honored with the Deauville Talent Award, while Sebastian Stan, 42, his receiving the Rising Star Award.
The honor comes as Michelle’s daughter Matilda, 18, is reportedly planning to spend time in Australia with her late father Heath Ledger’s family during her gap year.
For her 18th birthday last October, she received an important and sentimental gift from her dad’s side of her family.
The Ledgers gifted her Heath’s Best Supporting Actor Oscar, which he won posthumously for his role as The Joker in The Dark Knight.
Heath’s parents, Kim and Sally Ledger, and older sister Kate accepted the trophy on his behalf during the 2009 Oscars.
Michelle welcomed her daughter with the late 10 Things I Hate About You star in 2005.

Matilda is planning to put off commencing college for a year so she can travel, including spending time with her family in Australia.
A source said the teenager wants to spend a ‘gap year’ traveling the world before starting her studies.
Her father’s home country is said to be a major destination of note for Matilda.
‘She’ll also be spending a large chunk of time in Australia. She always feels closest to her dad when she’s there and loves nothing more than hearing his childhood stories from all his family,’ the source said.
