Windows PCs running on version 10 or 11 are supporting the new AI feature that Copilot users can try out soon
Windows PCs are getting this Gemini Live-like feature
Microsoft is taking on Gemini Live with its Copilot version that works on Windows PCs. The Copilot Vision feature promises a new way for Windows users to connect with their systems. It is effectively another way to get tasks done without really lifting a finger.
Copilot Vision is the latest AI feature from the company which has recently added Recall for its users who already own a Windows 11-powered Copilot Plus PC.
What Does Copilot Vision Offer?
AI agents have become the talk of the industry and it is easy to see how Copilot Vision is Microsoft’s version for the consumers. Just like Gemini Live works on Android phones, the new Vision feature can see your screen once you give the camera access and get help based on the context of your request.
This is Microsoft’s version of AI handling some of the menial tasks and letting you do the bulk of the work conveniently.
How Does It Work?
You have to manually enable Copilot Vision which will work on both Windows 10 and 11 systems but only for users in the USA for now. The company is sure to extend its support to more regions in the near future.
You can command Copilot Vision to view any of the apps on your Windows PC. The feature will help you edit images using voice prompts, move around between multiple apps to keep the work going and even get the AI to summarise the tasks done and maybe even create a to-do list.
Microsoft has a big AI list on its roster and Copilot is going to be a core part of these changes. We have mostly seen the new AI features work on Windows 11 PCs so it is surprising to see Copilot Vision support Windows 10 systems as well. The company has got this running in the beta phase as a part of the Copilot Labs project that you need to sign up for to try out these unreleased features.
Most brands have now lapped up the AI era and the PC market is gradually showing its interest in this area. However, with the Windows 10 support ending in October 2025, expect a major bulk of these PC sales to pick up in the next few months.
