Delhi Assembly Elections 2025: As the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) delivered a resounding defeat to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the Delhi Assembly elections on Saturday, an old video of AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal is doing rounds the corner on social media where he had declared that the “BJP could never defeat AAP in this lifetime.”

“Their intention is to topple the AAP government, and Narendra Modi ji wants to form a government in Delhi this way; they know they can’t defeat us through elections. I want to tell Narendra Modi ji that you cannot defeat us in this life, and you will have to take another birth to defeat us in Delhi,” Kejriwal had said in the video.
Netizens React, Say ‘Arrogance Backfires’
The video went viral on social media and many users said that Kejriwal’s arrogance has been crushed by Delhi voters.
“Modiji can’t win Delhi” with WAY too much confidence. Now, BJP’s leading and it’s clear—he’s not being defeated, it’s his arrogance that’s being crushed by Delhi voters,” one user said.
“Arvind Kejriwal is trailing. A party losing a state election is one thing, but the UNESCO-certified best CM in the world losing his own seat would be a whole new level of embarrassment—perhaps career-ending humiliation. Fortunately for him, humiliation isn’t something he experiences. He’s immune to it. He’ll just deny the loss and keep crying that the elections were rigged. If he loses, Bhagwant Mann should watch his chair,” another user said.

Delhi Election 2025 Results
The BJP is poised to form a government in Delhi for the first time since 1998, with the latest Election Commission trends showing the saffron party ahead in 48 of the 70 assembly seats and AAP in 22.
The biggest blows to the AAP came as party supremo Arvind Kejriwal and former Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia lost from their seats – New Delhi and Jangpura – respectively, to BJP’s Parvesh Singh Sahib and Tarvinder Singh Marwah.
Congress, which had ruled the national capital for 15 years under Sheila Dikshit, was nowhere close to the contest.
