Moment Trump staffer rants at Democratic mayor over his concern residents could be blocked from voting

A staffer for Donald Trump’s campaign ranted at the Democrat mayor of a Pennsylvania city over what appeared to be his attempt to take down barricades protecting Trump’s rally Tuesday.

Donald Trump appeared on Tuesday in Allentown, a mid-sized city in the all-important Keystone State.

A TikToker caught Democrat Mayor Matt Tuerk in a heated argument with an employee for the former president’s campaign about the barricades because they could delay residents’ access to early voting sites.

‘All they gotta do is walk around the outside of the barricades,’ the staffer claims. ‘Dude, you said that we had this entire intersection. You said three times and then all of a sudden, you let the traffic come through and I’m trying to put out a bike rack while dodging cars at the same time.’

The mayor suggests that they close off a different intersection before the staffer profanely points out that the city notified the public about the road closures and that police had given approval for the rally.

‘You think I’m gonna f***ing take it off now? ‘You put out a press statement yesterday – the city did – saying that this entire block was closed. On Apple Maps, you know what it shows? It shows this entire intersection closed. Look it up.’

‘You think I’m gonna remove the barricades now? Yeah, you’re out of your f***ing mind. Don’t ever pull that s*** on me again,’ the staffer tells Tuerk, who attempted to call the cops.

He says the mayor is just trying to distract from the Trump rally and also afraid that people are going to vote for Trump anyway.

‘Election is eight days away and on the day of the rally, you show up in a fresh suit, with all your cameras, trying to show that you’re big and strong, that you can shut this down? Why don’t we walk it, why don’t we walk it right now?’

After the video went viral on social media, the Trump campaign jumped to their staffer’s defense.

‘The Trump-deranged Democrat Mayor of Allentown tried to disrupt the buildout of President Trump’s rally, despite the campaign having proper permitting and approved road closures,’ spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said in a statement.

‘We appreciate local law enforcement’s assistance in ensuring the rally was a major success.’

When asked what was going on, Tuerk blamed the staffer for letting the moment get to him, telling Fox News his issue was a bike rack ‘appeared to restrict access to mobility-impaired voters to cast a ballot at the county government center.’

Tuerk also responded to the backlash with a post on social media.

‘My biggest concerns with yesterday’s Trump event were that we would protect EVERYONE’S access to the ballot request and drop off,’ he wrote.

‘Working with the event organizers, we were able to do the best we could.’

Trump was speaking to thousands of fans gathered in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Tuesday evening with just seven days left to the election.

The 81-year-old commander-in-chief was responding to a comedian at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally on Sunday comparing Puerto Rico to a ‘floating island of garbage.’

Biden said on a campaign zoom Tuesday night: ‘The only garbage I see floating out there is his [Trump’s] supporters.’

It immediately sparked backlash from MAGA fans, including Trump himself who addressed it in the middle of his rally.

‘Wow, that’s what [Biden] says… garbage. I think it’s worse [than deplorables],’ he fired back.

He was referring to Hillary Clinton’s now-infamous 2016 rant about the ‘basket of deporables’ who supported Trump during his first run.

‘Please forgive him for he knoweth not what he say. Honestly he doesn’t. And I’m convinced that he likes me more than he likes Kamala,’ Trump continued in a nod to Biden’s declining mental abilities.

‘No!’ the crowd shouted back at the former president.

Trump’s allies quickly piled on criticism of Joe Biden’s comments.

‘Just moments ago, Joe Biden stated that our supporters are garbage. I hope their campaign is about to apologize,’ said Florida Senator Marco Rubio who came up on stage with Trump.

‘We are not garbage, we are patriots who love America.’
