Munawar Faruqui recently won hearts with his impromptu shayari in front of the paps as he was spotted in the city.
Munawar Faruqui is known for his stand-up comedy shows, songs and mesmerising shayaris. He rose to immense fame after his stint in the popular reality TV show Lock Upp 1, where controversies related to his personal life grabbed the entire limelight. The next year, the 32-year-old also participated in Bigg Boss 17 and bagged the winning trophy with his strong gameplay. When Munawar was papped, he again showed off his poetic side and won millions of hearts with his shayaris.
In an Instagram video, Munawar Faruqui was spotted in the city, showing off his casual chic style. He was wearing a white T-shirt teamed with a denim jacket and a matching pair of pants. The stand-up comedian even interacted with the shutterbugs present there, who urged him to do a shayari.
On multiple requests, Munawar finally said, “Main batata hu, bahut kaam lagega yeh (I am saying, this will be of much help to you).” It was followed by a round of cheers by the paps. The Bigg Boss 17 star then shared, “Ye waqt zyada din sakt rahega nhi. Ye taqt zyada din tere sarr chadega nhi. Tere apne lagayenge tauhmate tujh pe. Wada kar tu chup rahega, ladega nhi (This time will not be difficult for long. This power will not be able to overpower you for long. Your people will accuse you. Promise me that you will remain silent and will not fight),” and simply walked past over there.
Soon, his fans started flooding the comment section with heaps of praise for him. One user said, “All-time favourite Munawar.” Another commented, “Kitna achcha likhte ho yaar (You write so good).” Meanwhile, someone mentioned, “TRP king Munawar,” accompanied by a fire emoji. Many others even found the lines extremely meaningful and relatable.
On the professional front, Munawar Faruqui is reportedly busy filming his upcoming web series, First Copy. The actor will be paired opposite Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai actress, Krystle D’Souza. They were spotted shooting for the same in Mauritius in one of the posts shared by her. “And just like that, after all the rolls, it’s a wrap. Before that, Munawar also shared the teaser for the series on Eid 2024. Taking to his Instagram handle, he offered a glimpse into the late ’90s when DVDs were at their peak, revealing the context of his upcoming web series.
