The upcoming episode of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa will have some esteemed jury members from the music industry. Besides, there will also be a surprise for the mentor of the show Jigar Saraiya as his wife, lyricist and playback singer Priya Saraiya will also appear in an episode. Excited to have his wife by his side on the show, the singer showered praises on her for her constant support. Crediting Priya for his successful journey in the music industry, Jigar shared the impact she has had on him and his music partner Sachin Sanghvi.
Talking about Priya, Jigar Saraiya shared that she wrote the lyrics for songs like Saibo and Jeena Jeena in just 15 minutes. He expressed, “I’m speaking straight from the heart. There are very few writers who can seamlessly craft lyrics across diverse genres, and Priya is undoubtedly one of them.”
The composer added, “Whenever we send Priya a tune, she doesn’t send her lyrics directly to me. She always shares them with Sachin first, ensuring a thorough filter before they reach me. Looking back, I realise it’s a blessing in disguise. If I had been the one approving them, these songs might not have become such massive hits!”
Further acknowledging Priya’s unconditional support and contribution during the challenging times, Jigar continued, “We’re not just husband and wife, but also best friends. Priya has made a huge impact on both Sachin’s and my life, and we truly appreciate it.” To back his claims, the composer also recalled an incident as he shared, “There was a time when we had no song and had a meeting in 15 minutes, but as we left the mall and started walking towards the studio, we just thought of the word ‘Saibo’and Priya magically wrote the chorus of the song by the time we reached there within 15 mins.”
Jigar Saraiya believes he is lucky to have Priya as his wife whom he also considers one of the best writers in the industry. His honest confession reflects his deep affection for his wife Priya Saraiya and their flawless collaboration with Sachin Sanghvi.
