Social media was left ablaze after Ashutosh Sharma’s legendary knock gave the Delhi Capitals an iconic win over the Lucknow Super Giants.

Ashutosh Sharma played a knock for the ages as he single-handedly turned the tides for the Delhi Capitals to come out of nowhere and take the win over Lucknow Super Giants by 1 wicket and three balls to spare in their opening game in the 2025 season of the Indian Premier League.
Having to chase down 210, thanks to fifties by both Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran, DC found themsleves in a precarious position as they lost five wickets in seven overs of the second innings.
But Axar Patel and Tristan Stubbs led the comeback with their contributions. But they did not stick around for long and it was Ashutosh who came in as the impact substitute alongside Vipraj Nigam who took the game by the scruff of the neck to give them a shot at going for the win.
The former PBKS star finished with an unbeaten 66 in 31 balls laced with five boundaries and as many maximums as he continued where he left off from the previous season to help DC open their campaign with a memorable win over the Rishabh Pant-led Lucknow Super Giants.
