For the third season in a row, DC topped the points table and qualified directly for the final. The Delhi-based franchise would like to end its wait for its maiden WPL title this year. In the first edition of WPL, DC suffered a defeat by seven wickets against Mumbai Indians in the final, and in the WPL 2024 final, RCB hammered them by eight wickets to lift the title.
