Natalie Portman sizzles in cover shoot for Vogue Australia – as she reveals what she loved most about her time Down Under

Natalie Portman graces the cover of Vogue Australia’s May 2025 issue, showcasing a series of striking ensembles that highlight her enduring style and elegance.

The 43-year-old Hollywood star proved she’s as radiant as ever, serving up a masterclass in timeless glamor with a variety of high-fashion looks in the sizzling photoshoot.

In one picture, Portman looked utterly breathtaking in a sleek LaQuan Smith bodysuit paired with Tiffany & Co. jewellery.

Her toned physique and graceful poise ensured the cutting-edge looks felt both bold and refined.

In another photo, the actress stunned in a sophisticated Christian Dior dress complemented by Alaïa tights and Amina Muaddi heels.

Her beautifully styled, softly waved hair and luminous skin only added to the ageless beauty she’s long been known for.

But behind the fashion-forward looks, Portman revealed she once believed she’d be retired from acting by now – instead, she says her life is just beginning.

‘Honestly, I think it’s the best place in the world. It’s just such a dreamy place, there people are so nice,’ the Black Swan star says of Sydney, where she spent a year filming Thor: Love and Thunder opposite Chris Hemsworth.

She admitted she loved the city’s iconic beaches, gardens and parks and the only thing stopping her from relocating to Australia permanently was being so far from family.

‘That’s literally the only thing that would stand between me and living there,’ Portman added.

In July last year, Portman appeared on Channel Ten’s The Project and shared her love of all things Down Under.

The V For Vendetta actress revealed her children are such big fans of the country that she has to keep iconic Aussie yeast spread Vegemite stocked in her pantry.

‘I would love to be (Australian),’ the American actress laughed when asked if she wasn’t secretly a citizen.

‘My family is very obsessed with Australia. We love it a lot. I have to keep Vegemite in my house for my kids’.

The Black Swan star shares her kids, son Aleph, 13, and daughter Amalia, 7, with her ex-husband, Benjamin Millepied.

The star has been spending plenty of time in Australia over the last couple of years for various projects and filming commitments.

Portman, her former husband and their two children had relocated Down Under in September 2020 ahead of her filming Thor: Love and Thunder in Sydney.

The family were also seen around Coogee beach in Sydney while spending time in Australia in 2022.

She even starred on Australian children’s show Bluey, lending her voice to an episode titled Whale Watching, where she narrated a whale documentary.

The popular ABC Kids series follows the adventures of ‘a loveable, inexhaustible six-year-old Blue Heeler dog (Bluey)’ along with her family, which includes her mum, dad and younger sister (Bingo), and her friends.

‘I love Bluey. I did a voice for an episode. We’re big Bluey fans,’ Natalie said on The Project.

When it comes to sports, Natalie said she is a huge fan of Aussie women’s soccer team The Matildas.

‘I love the Matildas. I came to the Women’s World Cup last summer and came to all the matches,’ Natalie said.

‘Once the US exited the competition, I was Matildas all the way.’
