On March 4, 1966, the National Safety Council was established with the goal of creating, growing, and maintaining a voluntary movement related to safety, health, and the environment (SHE).
On the day of its founding, seven years later, in 1972, National Safety Day was first observed. The purpose of the day is to increase public knowledge of all safety regulations, including those pertaining to the environment, workplaces, health, and roadways.
The Bombay Public Trust Act of 1950 created the National Safety Council as a public trust in 2000. Numerous events are planned to inform the public about the policies and procedures put in place to guarantee a secure atmosphere.
