New Noida will be part of the dedicated Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad Investment Region.
The area has been identified as a major investment region.
The effort to establish a new city in the National Capital Region (NCR), to be named “New Noida,” has gained momentum, with the land acquisition survey now underway. Lokesh M, CEO of Noida Authority, conducted an initial survey in the Secunderabad area of Bulandshahr, inspecting land for a temporary office in Jokhabad village. This office will oversee land acquisition and development activities. The CEO stated that the land acquisition process will begin soon, with meetings planned with local landowners, villagers, and village heads to seek their consent.
New Noida will be part of the Dedicated Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad Investment Region (DNGIR), incorporating land from approximately 20 villages in Gautam Buddha Nagar and 60 villages in Bulandshahr, covering an area roughly equal to that of Noida. The development of New Noida will occur in phases, with the first phase set to be completed by 2027, covering 3,165 hectares. Subsequent phases will expand the city by 3,798 hectares by 2032, 5,908 hectares by 2037, and 8,230 hectares by 2041. In October, the state government approved the Master Plan 2041 for the project. According to the plan, 40% of the acquired land will be allocated for industrial development, 13% for residential areas, 18% for green and recreational spaces, 4% for commercial use, 8% for public institutions, and the remaining land will be designated for other projects.
The region has been identified as a major investment region in the first phase of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). The region is connected to other parts of the state and the country by road and rail. Noida, Greater Noida, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Area and Noida International Airport are located around it. Officials say these areas have advanced road networks, modern infrastructure and better residential, commercial and recreational facilities, making the region ideal for investment. New Noida will also be connected to the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC), an important transport link for the DMIC.
