New Year’s Eve Lego display collapses at Massachusetts arcade leaving multiple injured

Emergency crews responded to a Lego display collage at a Massachusetts arcade that injured multiple people.

In The Game on Lowell Street in Peabody was hosting a ‘Noon Year’s Eve celebration’ Tuesday afternoon, according to their Facebook page. 

When the employees were trying to conduct the balloon drop for the event, a Lego display fell onto spectators, fire officials told NBC Boston.

The display fell on to about 12 people, resulting in minor injuries for 10 of the, according to the Peabody fire chief. 

Eight people were taken to local hospitals and two declined to go. The ages of the victims are unknown.

Footage from WHDH showed multiple ambulances outside the center escorting several people out of the building on stretchers.
