ESPN reporter Michelle Beisner-Buck had surgery on her ankle after a golf mishap involving her husband and colleague, Joe Buck.
While enjoying a day out on the course, Buck ‘accidentally drove a ball’ into his wife’s ankle – sending her to the hospital with a fracture.
The couple’s ESPN colleague, Adam Schefter, broke the news on Wednesday with a graphic of Beisner-Buck, with two thumbs up, post-surgery and ‘developing news’ printed on the bottom.
‘More ESPN injury news: @MichelleBeisner underwent surgery today to repair nerve damage in her fractured ankle that occurred during a freak accident when her husband Joe accidentally drove a golf ball into it, per sources,’ Schefter wrote.
‘Getting ready to roll back,’ Beisner-Buck texted Schefter.

A former Denver Broncos cheerleader, Beisner-Buck has been with ESPN as an NFL features reporter since 2014 and now works on ‘Monday Night Countdown.’
On the other hand, Buck joined the worldwide leader in sports as the voice of ‘Monday Night Football’ in 2022, alongside color commentator Troy Aikman. The two were longtime partners at FOX Sports.
The couple married in 2014 and had their twin sons, Blake and Wyatt in 2018.
Buck also has two daughters, Trudy and Natalie, from a previous marriage.
In a 2022 interview, Buck cited his wife as one of the reasons he made the move to ESPN. The broadcaster admitted that the chance to spend more time together during the NFL season added to the job’s appeal.

‘It dawned on us that we’re actually gonna have no time apart,’ he said. ‘I don’t know what this is going to do for my marriage and our relationship, but we’ll just have to roll the dice and hope that it makes it stronger — instead of ending it.’
Beisner-Buck’s ankle fracture is the second injury to an ESPN colleague that Schefter reported in recent weeks. In August, Schefter broke the news that NFL reporter Field Yates suffered a shoulder injury.
‘While engaging in an activity to determine the draft order in his fantasy football league at @espnfantasy Ultimate Draft Weekend in the Bahamas, Yates dislocated his shoulder, per sources,’ Schefter wrote on X.
‘The injury resulted in a brief hospitalization, but Yates now has been discharged, and is aiming to be ready for opening day.’
