With the highly awaited Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins making its debut on Netflix today, actress Nikita Dutta appeared to show her support for the film during her latest outing. Spotted earlier in the day en route to the gym, Nikita turned heads with her effortlessly stylish athleisure look—one that doubled as a nod to her new film. She wore a black short-sleeved t-shirt emblazoned with the title “JEWEL THIEF: THE HEIST BEGINS” in bold silver and blue lettering, letting the film’s name speak for itself.
Nikita Dutta paired the T-shirt with black athletic shorts, keeping the outfit practical and gym-appropriate. A large red and grey patterned tote bag was slung over her shoulder, adding a splash of colour to the otherwise monochrome ensemble. Her relaxed appearance managed to balance comfort and style as well as promote her project, all at once.
Directed by the dynamic duo of Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal, the film takes viewers on a fast-paced journey across glamorous international destinations like Budapest, Istanbul, and Mumbai. Jewel Thief is written by Sumit Aroraa.
At the centre of the story is Aulak, portrayed by Jaideep Ahlawat. A powerful and dangerous tycoon, Aulak is obsessed with the Red Sun—a rare, invaluable diamond from Africa. To obtain it, he enlists the help of a mysterious and masterful thief (Saif Ali Khan). On his trail is a sharp and determined police officer, played by Kunal Kapoor. His mission is to stop the heist before it unfolds. Adding a twist to the story is Nikita Dutta’s character, the enigmatic wife of the antagonist. She seems to share a complicated past with Saif Ali Khan, adding intrigue and emotional tension in the film.
This thriller is produced by Siddharth Anand and Mamta Anand under the banner of Marflix Pictures. Jewel Thief marks the first on-screen collaboration between Nikita Dutta and Saif Ali Khan. The film’s first song, Jaadu, went viral for the catchy tune and the smooth dance moves of Jaideep Ahlawat.
With its gripping storyline, stunning locations, and a powerhouse cast, Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins promises to be a thrilling cinematic adventure for viewers.
