The White House dismissed reports suggesting that foreign military officials have been invited to the upcoming US Army parade in Washington.
The event commemorates the 250th anniversary of the US Armed Forces and also falls on the 79th birthday of President Donald Trump.
“This is false. No foreign military leaders were invited,” a White House official stated, dismissing several media reports circulating in South Asia, reported 5WH.
The denial comes after reports surfaced that Pakistan Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir had been officially invited to the June 14 grand event in Washington.

Trump described the parade as an “unforgettable” experience, encouraging people to join in a celebration “one like you’ve never seen before.”
In a video shared on Truth Social, he stated, “For two and a half centuries, the men and women of America’s Army have dominated our enemies and protected our freedom at home. This parade salutes our soldiers’ remarkable strength and unbeatable spirit. You won’t want to miss it. Just don’t miss this one. It’s going to be good.”
The Army Birthday Festival will take place between 14th Street SW and the 12th Street Expressway, on the lawn between Madison Drive NW and Jefferson Drive SW, running from 11 AM to 6 PM local time. The celebrations will wrap up with a concert and a fireworks display at 9:45 PM local time.
The parade will feature historic US Army tanks, soldiers in uniforms, musical performances, and air shows as part of the festivities.
