Delhi Capitals signed star Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc for Rs 11 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction last year after he was released by Kolkata Knight Riders despite Player of the Match performances in the first qualifier and final of IPL 2024. The 35-year-old left-arm pacer played all 12 matches for Delhi Capitals this season and dismissed 14 batters.
After the suspension of IPL 2025 for one week on Friday, May 9, Starc returned to Australia along with his wife, Alyssa Healy. And if reports are to be believed then he is unlikely to return to India next week when the tournament will possibly restart.
The two-time ODI World Cup winner touched down in Sydney on Sunday and declined to speak to the media. But his manager confirmed with 9News that he may not return to the IPL due to the conflict.
