Prince William and Prince Harry
Prince William is reportedly planning to exclude Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet from any future royal duties. Since Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and moved to the US, tensions between them and the rest of the royal family have remained high. The couple’s bombshell interviews, accusations of racism and Prince Harry’s memoir Spare have only deepened the divide.
Insiders Reveal Prince William’s Future Plans
Insiders told The Times that the damage may stretch into the next generation as a palace source said, “As a huge question mark hangs over the Sussexes’ place in the monarchy once William takes over, Archie and Lilibet are unlikely to have any official roles. They will be outcasts to the royal fold under his reign.”
Prince William’s Vision For Future Monarchy
Prince William is doubling down on his long-term vision of a “slimmed-down monarchy”, focused solely on its core working members, as per the report. While the children were granted HRH titles following King Charles III’s accession, their roles may remain ceremonial at best.
Prince William Reportedly Distances From Prince Harry
Insiders told the outlet that Prince William’s emotional distance from his brother has become permanent.
“What’s most telling now is that William just doesn’t mention Harry at all,” the source said, adding, “There was a time when the family drama consumed him. He was heartbroken. But now, it’s like… nothing.”
That emotional shift, from “anger” to “indifference,” is being read as a sign that Prince William is moving on, both personally and institutionally, adding, > “It’s sad, but he’s in a much healthier space emotionally.”
