Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Tuesday said that Iran is “not a nation that surrenders,” shortly after both Tehran and Tel Aviv agreed to a ceasefire brokered by the United States.

His statement came hours after President Donald Trump confirmed that a truce between the two arch-rivals had come into effect, urging both sides to honour the agreement following a week of deadly exchanges that brought the region to the brink of wider war.

Earlier, in his first reaction, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that Tehran won’t accept any harassment under any circumstances. The supreme leader said that Iran didn’t target the civilians and vowed not to submit to anyone’s harassment.

“We didn’t harm anyone. And we will not accept any harassment from anyone under any circumstances. And we will not submit to anyone’s harassment; This is the logic of the Iranian nation,” he said.

His statement followed Iran’s retaliation against the U.S. airstrikes on its nuclear facilities, with missile attacks launched at American military bases in Qatar and Iraq.

According to a statement issued by the Iranian Armed Forces, “the Al-Udeid base in Qatar was targeted with a devastating and powerful missile attack as part of Operation Besharat Fatah.”

In a stern warning to Washington and its allies, the Iranian military asserted that under no circumstances would Iran allow violations of its territorial integrity, sovereignty, or national security to go unanswered.

Attack On US Base In Qatar And Then Ceasefire

Iran launched a retaliatory strike aimed at the United States’ Al Udeid military base in Qatar, the largest US military facility in the Middle East.

Qatar said it had successfully intercepted the attack, which it called a “flagrant violation” of sovereignty and said it reserved the right to respond.

No casualties were reported at the base, a US official said.

US President Donald Trump dismissed the attack as “very weak.”

He said Iran gave “early notice” of the strike, thanking the Islamic republic for the move that “made it possible for no lives to be lost, nobody to be injured.”

“Perhaps Iran can now proceed to Peace and Harmony in the Region, and I will enthusiastically encourage Israel to do the same,” he wrote on his Truth Social platform.
