Prince William has asserted that Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and Prince Andrew are not welcome in the royal family anymore, the report claimed.

Prince William is “seizing” more power from King Charles as he nears his ascension to the throne, it was reported. The Prince of Wales has been putting his foot down on several key decisions about the royal family’s future, InTouch reported.

He has also asserted that Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and Prince Andrew are not welcome in the royal family anymore, the report claimed citing a palace insider who said, “It’s no secret that anyone who pushes back against him will be swiftly shown the door. He’s not willing to take any nonsense and the word is he’s already on his way to being the toughest ruler the family has ever seen.”
Prince William has “never been more influential” than ever and isn’t shying away from “making decisions that he feels will benefit the Crown in the long run”, the source told the outlet.
King Charles is “bestowing more responsibility on [William] and by all accounts is acknowledging that his time to rule will be sooner, rather than later,” the report added.
What is Prince William focussing on?
Prince William is concentrating on improving the royal family’s public image and is looking to cut unnecessary spending, the report claimed. “[William] wants expenses to be monitored closely, and any fat trimmed straightaway. He doesn’t want there to be any sense that special perks are being handed out to the royals,” the source was quoted as saying by the outlet.
It added, “He’s all about the environment, so he’s pushing hard to be front and center in that respect and has put out this edict that the rest of the family needs to get on board with being as green as possible. Private flights and that sort of thing are being frowned on. The days of wasteful spending and overconsumption are ending now that William is at the helm.”
This comes after a tough year for Prince William as his wife Kate Middleton was diagnosed with cancer following a planned abdominal surgery last January. The couple have returned to public duties after Kate Middleton announced that she was cancer-free in September 2024.
