Oppo is bringing the new F29 series with two models on this date
India is set to witness the launch of the Oppo F29 5G series, which will include the Oppo F29 Pro 5G and the standard Oppo F29 5G. While leaked specifications have surfaced online, Oppo has officially confirmed key features, colour options, and availability details, along with the series’ launch date. The Oppo F29 5G lineup is expected to feature a durable build. Notably, its predecessor, the Oppo F27 5G, was introduced in India in August 2024.
Oppo F29 5G and F29 Pro 5G: All About India Launch
Oppo announced the F29 5G series India launch date via a post on X. The new phones are launching on March 20 at 12 PM (IST). The F29 Pro 5G will be available in Granite Black and Marble White, while the standard Oppo F29 5G will come in Glacier Blue and Solid Purple color options.
Oppo describes the F29 5G and F29 Pro 5G as “durable champions,” boasting a military-grade MIL-STD-810H-2022 certification and a 360-degree armor body. Reports suggest that the series has undergone testing by SGS in India, meeting IP66, IP68, and IP69 dust and water resistance standards. The smartphones feature an internal frame made of aerospace-grade aluminum alloy, a lens protection ring, a raised corner design cover, and sponge bionic cushioning for enhanced durability.
The slim profile of one of the Oppo F29 5G series phones will get them 7.55mm thickness and weigh 180 grams. The lineup will support photographs taken underwater. The Pro model will include a 6,000mAh battery that supports 80W SuperVOOC charging. It is likely to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage for smooth performance.
Other reports have hinted that the Oppo F29 Pro 5G could be priced under Rs 25,000 in India. The device is expected to launch in 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB configurations.
