Accepting the prestigious award wearing a custom Saint Laurent gown, Zoe Saldana celebrated her roots and shared an emotional moment on stage. Zoe marked this historic moment by dedicating her first Oscar award to her grandmother. “My grandmother came to this country in 1961. I am a proud child of immigrant parents with dreams and dignity and hardworking hands. And I am the first American of Dominican origin to accept an Academy Award and I know I will not be the last,” expressed Zoe Saldana.
Zoe’s Oscar 2025 red carpet look featured a tiered strapless gown. The jewel maroon satin bubble tiered silhouette was enhanced with a semi-sheer bustier with sparkling detailings.
For those who don’t know, Emilia Perez is co-produced by the French luxury fashion house Saint Laurent and has seen Zoe on various occasions celebrate and acknowledge the brand in her fashion choices. Her Oscar red carpet look also featured a pair of sheer arm-length black gloves. She completed her look with a Cartier necklace. Zoe was styled by celebrity fashion stylist Petra Flannery.
Zoe’s charming personality won hearts on and off the red carpet. While this ensemble wasn’t as elaborate as her previous red carpet looks, we love how she owned the look on the red carpet. Keeping the makeup minimal yet timeless, her glam was upped by makeup artist Vera Steimberg. Zoe’s hairstylist Mara Roszak took to instagram to share a heartfelt message for her. “This woman is so deserving-hardworking, talented, kind, generous and so full of love. It’s an honour to celebrate her and her talent tonight,” shared Mara Roszak.
