Pakistani media entrepreneur Salman Farooq, owner of Bionic Films, was arrested after a viral video showed him brutally assaulting a Hindu man in Karachi’s Defence Society area. The victim, identified as Sudhair Dhun Raj, was on his motorcycle with his sister Kalpana when it reportedly brushed against Salman Farooq’s vehicle near the Ittehad area.
What followed was a violent episode of road rage, captured on video, in which Salman Farooq and his security guards physically attacked Sudhair Dhun Raj while his sister pleaded for mercy.
Salman Farooq Seen Attacking Hindu Man
In the video widely circulated on social media, Salman Farooq is seen holding the man’s hands as bodyguards seated in the vehicle repeatedly slap him. Kalpana, visibly distressed, can be heard begging Salman Farooq to stop, with folded hands. Her pleas were ignored, and the assault continued as seen in the video.

An FIR was registered at the Gizri Police Station based on the complaint of an eyewitness, Muhammad Saleem, as per The Express Tribune. The charges include issuing death threats, physical assault, verbal abuse and harassment of a woman.
A Karachi court granted police a two-day physical remand of Salman Farooq and another accused, ARY News reported.
The assault sparked significant backlash on social media platforms, with many users condemning the religious targeting of a Hindu man.
