Pete Davidson and BFF Machine Gun Kelly have begun planning ‘playdates’ after it was revealed the SNL alum is expecting his first child.
The comedian, 31, was first romantically linked to English model Elsie Hewitt in March – and last week the couple announced that baby number one is on the way amid their whirlwind romance.
Kelly is already dad to daughter Casie, 16, whom he shares with ex Emma Cannon as well as three-month-old Saga Blade – whom he welcomed with Megan Fox back in March.
Earlier this week on Wednesday, the Bad Things rapper shared a carousel of Instagram images – and one notably showed him FaceTiming with Davidson.
The longtime pals – who developed a close bond after first crossing paths in 2017 – held big smiles on their faces in the snap.
And when Davidson’s girlfriend announced the pregnancy bombshell, Kelly jumped to the comment section of her post and wrote, ‘these playdates bout to hittttt.’

Kelly and Davidson met in 2017 while on the set of MTV’s Wild ‘N Out and the stars soon developed a close friendship.
Two years later, the pair reunited once again to film The Dirt – a musical comedy film that was released in 2019.
During an interview with Billboard, Kelly opened up about how both he and the comedian hung out when filming ended.
‘And we were both just, like, super stoners…[We] listened to the same music… So that’s my boy,’ the music artist said.
In 2018 after Davidson had posted a worrying tweet, Kelly revealed that he was on his way to check in on the star.
At the time, he shared on X (formerly Twitter): ‘I’m in the plane now on the way to see Pete. Gonna make sure he’s good, i promise. can’t have my boy in the darkness like that.’
While stopping by The Howard Stern Show in 2020, Kelly talked about how he initially ‘bonded’ with Davidson.
‘He was the only other person that smoked weed. So we were bonded over that,’ the rapper recalled.

Kelly continued, ‘I don’t have any siblings, you know, so when you see someone like Pete, like that’s like my little brother. He’s my best friend too.’
‘It’s kind of like you have the opportunity to live that dynamic of having a sibling because I was the only child so obviously to me, that’s the dream, having a brother or sister or something, so Pete’s like that for me.’
In 2021, Davidson impersonated Kelly during an episode of SNL – which prompted the music artist to offer his opinion on the sketch.
Over on his Instagram stories, the rapper humorously wrote: ‘Pete you know d**n well I don’t talk like that.’
Throughout the years, the two stars have attended events and also appeared on the red carpet together.
Last year, Kelly and Davidson were seen enjoying a boys’ day out in Los Angeles.
The rapper is dad to teenager Casie – who officially turned 16 on Thursday – and the pair made a rare red carpet appearance together at the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards last month in June.
He has also credited Casie for helping him to get sober, which he discussed on the Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast last year.

Kelly recalled, ‘It started with my daughter saying, “Dad, you know I can tell when you’re high?” It broke my heart. It was the ultimate let down.’
He added that his daughter had only been 11 or 12 at the time before talking about the hardships of quitting drugs.
‘It took me a while afterward, because obviously drugs have a vice grip on you. That was step one for me. As a father and as a man, to be the father I wish my dad would have been, I have to break this generational curse for my kid.’
And on March 27, Kelly welcomed his second child – and first – with Fox, despite the pair splitting in December 2024.
While briefly walking the red carpet at the 2025 AMAs in May, the rapper briefly opened up about the newborn.
‘I’m just so elated. It’s just awesome,’ he gushed to Access Online, before adding that he ‘was just meant to be a dad.’
While Kelly and Fox ended their relationship late last year, the pair were seen reuniting this week during a trip to Costa Rica with their baby girl, per TMZ.
Davidson has also worked on his sobriety, which he opened up about on Tuesday’s episode of The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.
The actor has reportedly been sober for nearly one year, and has also paid around $200k in tattoo removal amid his journey.

At one point, the talk show host asked Davidson if there was a difference when it came to performing since becoming sober and the comedian simply replied with, ‘Oh, yeah.’
The father-to-be continued, ‘That’s what I was nervous about because I was like maybe I’m not very good, or maybe I was so high, I thought I was good.’
However, Davidson expressed that he is now, ‘weirdly sharper and more aware, so it’s more fun.’
Fallon then said, ‘Enjoying it more,’ which prompted the Bodies Bodies Bodies star to reply with, ‘Yeah, when people laugh, you feel it as opposed to just sitting… so high, sitting there.’
Last week, both he and Hewitt announced that they are expecting their first child together with an array of sweet Instagram photos – with one showing the comedian gently placing his hands on her stomach.
And while it has been claimed that the pregnancy was something the couple ‘weren’t planning’ – the SNL alum and English model are beyond ‘excited’ to become parents.
A source opened up to Us Weekly about their baby news and stated, ‘Pete and Elsie definitely weren’t planning on starting a family but are over the moon about it.
‘They are so excited. Pete and Elsie have a really playful relationship, and things are going really well.’
Despite dating for a ‘short amount of time,’ the pregnancy ‘has brought them even closer. It’s a healthy relationship for Pete.’
The actor also finally broke his silence over the pregnancy news while talking to E! News on Tuesday.

‘I’m very lucky and very, very happy,’ Davidson expressed to the outlet, and added that he could not wait, ‘to take care of something and show it the childhood I didn’t have.’
He continued, ‘I assume you just try to give them what you didn’t have, and what you didn’t like, not do it.’
Since the big announcement, the star has already received a lot of advice from pals – including fellow actor Adam Sandler.
