The CEOs and PM Modi discussed opportunities India can offer in the semiconductors, electronics and biotechnology sectors and the potential the country has in these fields.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday evening met American industry leaders from sectors including semiconductors, electronics and biotechnology, and discussed India’s vast potential and opportunities it can offer in these sectors.
Among the participants at the CEO roundtable were Adobe Chairman, President, and CEO Shantanu Narayen; Google CEO Sundar Pichai; IBM CEO Arvind Krishna; AMD Chair and CEO Lisa Su; and Moderna Chairman Noubar Afeyan.
News agency ANI released a video of the CEO roundtable where Pichai and Su were seen delivering remarks as PM Modi listened keenly. External affairs minister S Jaishankar also attended the meeting.
According to the news agency, the CEOs and PM Modi discussed possibilities of emerging technologies collaboration. They also discussed means to foster stronger collaborations between India and the US in artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing, semiconductors and biotechnology sectors.
