Joe Rogan Takes Delivery of His UP Tesla S-APEX Plaid.
A video that shows podcaster Joe Rogan accepting the delivery of his custom Tesla vehicle has prompted a response from Elon Musk.
In addition, Musk responded to a post that included information regarding Rogan’s new vehicle. A few days after US President Donald Trump purchased a Tesla to “show confidence and support for Elon Musk,” the video was shared on X.
Musk responded with the comment, “Cool,” to a post, stating that Unplugged Performance, a company that provides high-end performance enhancements for Tesla vehicles, had enhanced Rogan’s bespoke S-APEX Plaid.
On January 30, Unplugged Performance shared a video on Instagram that caught the moment podcaster Rogan received the customised vehicle. “What delivering a custom S-APEX Plaid to @joerogan looks like,” the caption to the clip read.
How does Rogan’s Tesla Model S Plaid differ from others?
Podcaster Rogan has added a custom Tesla Model S, known as the S-APEX, built by Unplugged Performance to his collection of vehicles. This unique car combines high-performance improvements with cosmetic additions.
A widebody package made of carbon fibre gives the customised Model S a more aggressive and aerodynamic character. A distinctive white pearl paint finish adds even more distinction to the outside, and Rogan remarks, “I love the paint.”
The vehicle’s interior is opulent, with premium leather and Alcantara accents. A characteristic that was brought over from Unplugged Performance’s well-known “Dark Helmet” build, the S-APEX has carbon ceramic brakes. This modification turns the car into a high-performance electric vehicle by improving its braking capabilities.
Musk responded to a different X post that included the car’s unveiling and included information about design enhancements by saying, “It does look awesome.”
Elon Musk and Joe Rogan made an appearance on a three-hour podcast in February 2025. He discussed conspiracy theories regarding the federal government’s gold hoard at Fort Knox and praised his contentious Department of Government Efficiency in response to the Nazi-like salute he gave at an inauguration function.
“I hope people realise I’m not a Nazi,” Musk said, justifying the gesture as being made constructively. He further stressed that being a Nazi is more than just making gestures or dressing in particular ways, it also entails carrying out crimes like genocide and inciting wars.
