The accused claimed that he had met the teen when she was coming back from a party and took her to his flat where he committed the heinous crime
The man said that since the coin landed on heads, he killed the teen. If it had landed on tails, she may have been alive.
In a chilling incident, a man admitted that he tossed a coin to decide what he should do with an 18-year-old girl, whom he had met on a bus when she was returning back from a party.
The accused accepted that he tossed a coin and on the basis of the result decided to kill the teenager and then rape her corpse, reported local website Eska.
The incident took place in the Polish city of Katowice when the victim was returning back from a party and going home.
The accused, identified as Mateusz Hepa, approached the girl and lured her to his apartment where the victim fell asleep.
Then, the man admitted to strangling the victim to death using a rope after brutally beating her and then using plastic to wrap her body, reported the Daily Mail.
The accused used to work at a car repair shop and had met the girl after his shift was completed. After committing the crime, the man revealed that he had reached out to the police.

Confessing his crimes in the court, the 20-year-old man said, “I tossed a coin, it landed on heads, so I killed her. If it had been tails she would probably still be alive.”
The police were able to arrest the accused hours after they found the body of Kozielska. “I felt the need to kill,” he said to the police.
In a series of admissions, the man said in Gilwice court last week that he was thinking about killing someone before the murder and had been in search for a victim for some time.
In his chilling confession, the man said to the court, “I gave her the choice of either going home or coming with me. She chose to come with me. We sat, talked about nothing, then she fell asleep.”
“I walked around the room, tried to wake her up, but I couldn’t. Then I tossed a coin, it landed on heads, so I killed her. I don’t know why I did it. Some things just happen, and I have no control over them,” he said.
“Sometimes I use a coin to make difficult decisions. I sat on her chest and began to strangle her. I chose strangulation because there’s no blood. She tried to breathe, but she had no strength to fight back. She struggled, but it was too late,” the accused added.
“After I killed her, I undressed her and then had sex with her. Then I got dressed and tried to hide the body. I wasn’t thinking clearly. I put her body in a bag, wrapped it in a blanket, and planned to burn it. I thought I would feel better after committing murder,” he further said.
When the man was being escorted out of the court premises, the victim’s distraught friends yelled, “You should f***ing die.”
As per local media, Hepa had thought of taking his own life by suicide but later on decided to live.
On February 12, the trial will resume and Hepa can be given a life sentence.
