A popular range of Christmas-themed candles has been recalled amid fears the product is a potential deadly danger to children.
The scented candles with Christmas market designs were sold by well-known retailer Dusk nationally in store and online between October 24 and December 12.
The candles featured a light-up LED light powered by a button battery but had no warning label on the packaging.Â
The missing label led to the product being recalled by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission on Monday.
‘There is a risk of choking, severe internal burn injuries or death to young children if they gain access to the button/coin batteries and swallow or place them inside their body,’ the recall notice reads.
