Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf’s on-screen chemistry in Mismatched won over fans, and their real-life bond is just as special. The duo has always been vocal about their deep affection for each other. Having formed a close friendship while filming the first season of their show, Prajakta recently opened up about their connection, describing its evolution as nothing short of “beautiful”.
Talking to Pinkvilla, Prajakta Koli recalled her first interaction with Rohit Saraf. The actress shared that both she and Rohit ended up revealing their secrets in the first conversation itself as it was “easy to talk” with one another. Reflecting on the bond, she explained, “I’ve known him for over five years now… it’s been more than five years. I remember our friendship started very easily; we kind of got friendly and bonded very quickly. I remember one of the first days off from work—we weren’t even friends yet—we sat together and shared secrets from our lives. Before that, he didn’t even know who I was, just before we met for the screen test and all. But on that very first day off, we ended up telling each other things we had never shared with anyone else. It was so easy to talk to him, and he did the same.”
Further, Prajakta also called Rohit “one of the most special people” in her life and mentioned that although their friendship comes with bumps, she wouldn’t have it any other way.
During the conversation, Prajakta Koli was also asked about the emotional breakup scene in Mismatched Season 3. Released last year, the season received immense love from fans, who continue to adore their favourite duo, fondly called ‘Dimpshi.’ Reflecting on the scene, Prajakta said, “Heartbreaking scene, dude!” She admitted that despite having read the script beforehand, she couldn’t hold back her tears when watching it unfold.
In the third season of Mismatched Season 3, Rannvijay Singha, Muskkaan Jaaferi, Taaruk Raina and Ahsaas Channa returned to reprise their roles from the first two installments. There were also new faces— Lauren Robinson, Garima Yajnik and Akshat S. The season, which began streaming on Netflix on December 13, 2024, took a huge leap of three years from where season 2 left off. The romantic drama managed to charm the audience with its compelling plot but mostly for the chemistry between Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf.
