Manchester United ensured interim manager Ruud Van Nistelrooy would conclude his tenure at the helm of the Red Devils in fine fashion as the Mancunian side posted a 3-0 win over Leicester City at Old Trafford on Sunday in the Premier League.

Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring for United before Victor Kristiansen put the ball into his own net. Alejandro Garnacho put the result beyond doubt with an 82nd minute curler.

Fernandes produced an artistic exchange with Amad Diallo on the left as the Ivorian played a brilliant backheel pass into the path of the Portuguese maestro, who pulled the trigger from the edge of the box to send a bulge into the back of the net in the 17th minute of the game.

United doubled their lead in the 38th minute of the game as Fernandes’s attempt at a diving header from a dangerous cross played in took a deflection off his thing before Kristiansen bundled it into the wrong net.

Garnacho managed to wrap his foot around the ball well following some more good work from Fernandes to grab the side’s third and assure all three points on offer at OT.

Tottenham 0-2 Ipswich Town

Ipswich produced a shock at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as the newly-promoted side posted a 2-1 win over Ange Postecoglou’s men.

Sammie Szmodics put his side ahead in the 31st minute of the game, before Liam Delap’s strike two minutes from halftime doubled their advantage on the road.

Rodrigo Bentancur cut the deficit in half with his goal for the hosts in the 69th minute of play, but the visitors managed to clinch on to the lead to close out the game with all three points.

Nottingham Forest 1-3 Newcastle United

Newcastle United posed a come-from-behind win over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground as the visitors registered a 3-1 triumph.

Alexander Isak’s 54th-minute strike cancelled out Murillo’s 21st-minute opener before Newcastle got their noses in front thanks to Joelington’s 72nd-minute strike.

Harvey Barnes added his side’s third to put the match beyond the reach of Nottingham as Eddie Howe’s men picked up a big win on the road against an in-form Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
