Priyansh Jora, who made his debut with Anil Kapoor’s TV series 24, is known for working in several television shows, web series and films. The actor gained prominence after playing the lead role in the 2014 comedy-drama soap opera Tu Mera Hero. He portrayed a character called Vinayak Prabhu in 2023 in the Netflix survival drama thriller series Kaala Paani. The actor recently got engaged to sports anchor Rishma Rochlani in Mumbai.
Speaking with the Hindustan Times, he explained that things began to shift for him some time ago. The actor further mentioned that he discovered peace the first time he met her.
“My entire focus had shifted from my professional life to my personal life – how to move forward and share the happiness and peace we both found in each other. In fact, I found my peace the first day I saw her, so for me, she is my home, my life partner, my everything,” he said.
The pair got engaged in an intimate ceremony in Mumbai two days ago, after Rishma received a surprise proposal in Gulmarg, Jammu & Kashmir, two months earlier. “When we both decided to take the plunge, we realised that nothing matters more to us than being together. It was an intimate ceremony with our families that took place in our house in Mumbai just two days ago,” he added.
“The inner child in me has resurfaced… I didn’t know this would be so comforting,” he added. Priyansh further mentioned that the specific dates for the wedding are yet to be confirmed. “See, I am already married to her in my head, but the ritual will surely happen. The exact dates are yet to be decided,” he stated.
Earlier in the day, he shared a bunch of photos with Rishma Rochlani from their Gulmarg vacations. With the title ‘The Most Beautiful Yes’, he shared beautiful pictures from the dreamy proposal. “Some moments just stay with you. This was one of them. On a quiet, snowy afternoon, he got down on one knee with shaking hands and a full heart,” he wrote.
“She laughed through her tears, completely caught off guard and completely sure. The mountains stood still, the snow held its breath, and in that quiet, she said yes,” he added. In the pictures, the duo can be seen enjoying the beauty of the snow-covered landscape of Gulmarg.
