Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey continue to make waves in the television industry and their latest venture Dreamiyata Dramaa has been making a mark in the web space.

Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey who started their careers as TV actors took their chances to turn producers. They have produced several popular television shows and now have stepped into the web space. In a recent interview, the duo shared about the struggles during their transition from actors to producers. Ravi revealed that many people were doubtful about this step and thought it was a risk.
In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey revealed how “everyone” doubted their choice to become producers. Ravi added that even now when they have started Dreamiyata Drama, people question them for putting their money in such a venture. He noted, “It’s a very expensive proposition. The shows are high in production quality, we have maintained a certain standard so that it can match up to the premium web series of India. So that when you are consuming or in any part of the world people are consuming, it doesn’t seem like that you are watching something that is any less than the Turkish dramas you see.”
Ravi explained that they are using film cameras and many high production equipment. All of this requires a certain level of financial resources and since they do not have any investors, the duo has been using the money they have earned so far. But most people do not understand why they keep investing their money in new ventures.
The actor also stated that both he and Sargun do not want to include investors in their company as they don’t want to be accountable to anyone. He mentioned they don’t want to work with someone who would be “doubtful” about their intentions and capability of recovering the money. For Ravi, the goal is simple: they will either gain money from the risks they take otherwise they will undoubtedly learn something.
In the same interview, Sargun shared how they lost about Rs 70 lakh while producing the daily soap Udaariyaan.
