Ray J claims he’s ‘never seen the stuff that’s being said’ about Diddy as he talks rapper’s sex trafficking arrest

Ray J addressed Diddy’s sex trafficking arrest which took place earlier this week on Monday – and said he has ‘never seen the stuff that’s being said’ about the disgraced rapper.

The One Wish singer, 43, shared his thoughts on the arrest during an episode of NewsNation’s Cuomo which aired on Friday.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs – who was denied bail by a judge – is currently being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center following his indictment for sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution.

‘We’ve all been around him, at least in my era, and have looked up to him,’ Ray J explained. ‘And this situation is super unfortunate.’

‘But it’s important to learn a lesson right now and ensure the next generation understands how to move differently with transparency and integrity.’

Ray J added that the allegations and lawsuits against Combs are both ‘hurtful’ and ‘confusing’ to others in the industry, as well as those that personally knew Diddy.

‘We’ve never seen the stuff that’s being said and the stuff people are finding out, like, I’ve never been in rooms that people are talking about, and I never knew they existed.’

The singer continued, ‘And a lot of people in the industry can agree with me on that sense.’

A source recently told DailyMail.com that Justin Bieber had been ‘thrown’ by the accusations against Diddy and ‘is unwilling to process it or discuss it so he has shut off.’

‘We just need to use it as a moment to reflect, not to criticize, but find a better way to move forward as leaders, individuals in this culture that we’re in right now,’ Ray J added.

Combs and Ray J have known each other over the years, and the Wait A Minute singer has previously attended parties thrown by the disgraced music mogul.

Back in 2019, Ray J – whose full name is William Ray Norwood Jr. – attended Combs’ 50th birthday bash in L.A.

And a few years later, both he and sister, Brandy, were spotted at his BET Lifetime Achievement Party in 2022.

In May, a video obtained by CNN showed Diddy violently assaulting his ex, Cassie, in the hallway of a hotel in Los Angeles.

Upon seeing the shocking footage, Ray J expressed during an interview on The Art Of Dialogue that Combs needed an ‘exorcism.’

He explained, ‘When somebody is around somebody and we’re counting on them to be our one of our leaders in a space that we’re all trying to get to that’s not acceptable to do and it’s not okay.’

Ray J also hinted that his friendship with the Coming Home rapper had come to an end after the video surfaced.

‘I mean, it might be forgivable in a sense of a spiritual realm of life or forgive everybody but it’s unforgettable.’

‘And that’s where you just draw the line on friendship and hanging out and supporting and being cool. It’s like n***a it’s done, and that’s it.’

Ray J added, ‘And it’s not and it’s not something that n***as can just take lightly. You cannot do that. Not okay. It’s not cool. Period. [The video] was heartbreaking and shameful and unacceptable. I’ve never seen nothing like that.’

‘I’ve never seen nothing like that in the history of my life, so that’s a new [one] for me. I don’t know what kind of demon you are, but somebody need to muthaf***ing perform an exorcism fast…’

One month earlier, Ray J also shared his thoughts about why Diddy’s friends have not come to the rapper’s defense after his homes were raided in the sex trafficking probe in March.

He told TMZ at the time, ‘I think a lot of people are just trying to understand it.’

‘Understand what is and what’s not, ya know? It’s still a big question mark. Pray for everybody, though. Prayers go up for everybody.’

The singer was also questioned about Diddy’s past parties, and in response, Ray J told the outlet, ‘I don’t know, man. I got to plead the fifth on that one.’

Earlier this week on Monday, Diddy was arrested and was soon denied bail by a judge after he used both his and his mother’s homes in Miami – worth $50 million – as collateral.

And on Wednesday, he lost an appeal to overturn the decision and will remain in custody while pending trial.

In the indictment against Diddy that was unsealed this week, it was claimed that federal raids on his Miami and Los Angeles mansions led to the discovery of over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant.

It is alleged that the rapper would coerce and manipulate victims into taking part in days-long sexual performances, which he dubbed ‘freak offs.’

Diddy’s associates would allegedly ply victims with drugs to keep them compliant and would make threats against anyone refusing to engage, in claims similar to those made in a civil lawsuit brought by Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassie last year.

These allegations were central to prosecutors bringing sex trafficking charges against the producer, with observers noting that authorities are increasingly expanding the law to suit their cases against powerful defendants.

A step up in federal sex trafficking charges was passed by Congress in 2000 as an intentional step to take down prostitution rings and pimps, but the evolving nature of the charge has seen it more recently used to snare individuals like Keith Raniere.

Notably, Diddy has hired the same attorney, Marc Agnifilo, who has previously challenged the government’s expanding use of federal sex trafficking charges in Raniere’s 2019 trial that led to a 120-year sentence.

Raniere was the leader of the NXIVM cult, a self-help pyramid scheme that acted as a front for his various crimes, including sexual assault, sex trafficking, child pornography and forced labor.

At his trial, the cult leader’s legal team attempted to argue that federal sex trafficking charges were overstretched to fit his case – the same argument Mr. Agifilo made at Diddy’s bail hearing this week.

He claimed that the alleged ‘freak offs’ were merely the way Diddy was ‘intimate’ with people, and accused prosecutors of overstepping and ‘coming into this man’s bedroom.’

‘Is it sex trafficking? No, not if everybody wants to be there,’ Agnifilo said at the hearing.

After Diddy’s arrest, he was taken to Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center and has also been placed on suicide watch.

Sources informed DailyMail.com that the detention center is ‘standard for high-profile individuals.’

It also comes after a resurfaced clip showed porn star, Jonathan Oddi, claiming in 2018 that he had been Diddy’s sex slave – and alleged he had sex with the rapper and his ex, Cassie.

Numerous videos have since resurfaced following the rapper’s arrest, including a 2002 interview on Late Night With Conan O’Brien where he made comments about having ‘locks on the doors’ to prevent women from leaving parties.

While giving tips on how to put on a ‘killer party,’ Combs said, ‘This is what you need to do. Women. Beautiful women, of course. Beautiful men for the ladies, of course.’

He continued to give a checklist to throw a bash, such as needing ‘alcohols’ and ‘some water.’

When Conan questioned why water was on the list, Diddy said, ‘I don’t know if guys have noticed this, like, a lot of ladies drink water at parties. They just, you know, so if you don’t have what they need, they’re gonna leave.’

‘Gotta keep them there,’ he continued. ‘You need locks on the doors.’

Upon hearing the comment, O’Brien paused and then responded with, ‘Okay, this is sounding kind of dangerous now.’

Diddy said, ‘It’s a little kinky,’ and then jumped back into giving his tips to Conan and the live audience, such as not having air conditioning on.

To finish off his list, Sean said that ‘you need good music’ and ‘you need me, of course.’

Other resurfaced clips of Combs have gone viral since his arrest that took place earlier this week on Monday.

One video – which was filmed in 2022 – showed Diddy and his mother, Janice, kissing on the lips.

Ne-Yo has also recently faced criticism after a past video of his ex-girlfriend, Sade Bagnerise, re-emerged which showed Sade comparing him to Diddy during an Instagram Live stream.
