David Beckham’s former assistant Rebecca Loos has doubled down on claims she had an affair with the married star 20 years ago.
Rebecca sat down for a new interview with 60 Minutes Australia which aired on Sunday night, during which she insisted she has ‘never lied’ and has ‘stuck to the truth’ since she first made the allegations in 2004.
David, who has been married to Spice Girl Victoria since 1999, has previously denied his former assistant’s affair claims.
‘In my opinion, it was a very brave thing to do to go up against them,’ Rebecca, now 47, told 60 Minutes Australia. ‘I have stuck to the truth. I’ve never exaggerated. I never lied about a single thing.’
‘Why? Because I’m going up against the strongest, most powerful couple in the media who have all the money in the world for the best PR, the best lawyers. And all I had on my side was the truth,’ she added.
David Beckham ‘s former assistant Rebecca Loos has doubled down on claims she had an affair with the married star 20 years ago
Working for Beckham in 2003 in Madrid, Rebecca, who is now married a mum of two teeangers, claimed in the new interview that as an assistant she was the ‘first person they see in the morning and the last person they see in the evening.’
She told the outlet that Victoria was out of town when David allegedly invited her to a hotel, adding that she ‘gave in.’
‘I fell hook, line and sinker for every single cliche line he fed me,’ Rebecca said. ‘And then two weeks later we were at Ronaldo’s birthday party and he’s off with this beautiful model. And I was like, “Uh.” That was a hard night for me. I was like, “Uh, I don’t understand.” And realisations started to hit that I’d been massively played.’
Rebecca told 60 Minutes Australia that she spoke out publicly because she ‘always had the opinion [that] it’s better that it comes from me and I have some sort of control.’
David has denied Rebecca’s affair allegations but in his 2023 Netflix documentary he and Victoria opened up about the scandal that almost broke their marriage .
Victoria said the months afterwards were the ‘hardest’ of her life and that she no longer felt like the couple ‘had each other’ – while David admitted he still doesn’t know how they got through the 2003 crisis, but he and his former Spice Girl wife knew they had to ‘fight for their family’.
The England star admitted they felt like they were ‘drowning’ as their high-profile marriage dominated headlines – and said he ‘felt physically sick every day’.
Rebecca is now living in the wilderness away from the limelight, after meeting her Norwegian doctor husband on the reality show 71 Degrees North.
She now lives in Norway and spends her time practising yoga, running, biking and hiking and foraging for food with her sons.
Throughout her career she appeared on several UK TV shows including Celebrity Love Island, Extreme Celebrity Detox, Temptation Island and The X Factor: Battle of the Stars.
