Xiaomi is bringing a new Redmi budget phone to the Indian market and the launch has been confirmed along with other details. The new Redmi 15 model promises some exciting features, including the use of silicon carbon battery tech to pack a bigger unit inside the device.
The brand is also using a Snapdragon chipset for the new Redmi phone and give it sleek dimensions even for a device carrying a higher capacity of battery. Redmi 15 will also get features that are claimed to be segment-first and a dual rear camera setup.
Redmi 15 India Launch, Price And Features Expected
Xiaomi is calling the Redmi 15 a battery beast, and the 7,000mAh battery unit packed inside the device looks to vouch for those claims. The brand is also using a Snapdragon chipset, rumoured to be the 6 Gen 3 version for the new Redmi model and offer a dual rear 50MP camera setup with an AI/depth secondary sensor. The silicon carbon battery tech has made it possible to increase the density of the battery without bulking it up.
The Redmi 15 model should also gain from its use with a sleek device on offer. The brand is also touting the phone’s battery to support 18W charging speed that gets reverse charging mode as well. Redmi 15 is likely to sport a 6.9-inch LCD screen for the range but offered with 144Hz refresh rate which should be manually adjustable and not adaptive.
Redmi 15 price in India is tipped to start around Rs 15,000 with these features and the budget phone will be looking to entice buyers with some of its segment-first hardware specifications and features when it launches in August.
Xiaomi also introduced another Redmi Note 14 model in the country called the Note 14 SE. The mid-range device is getting an SE version after a few years in the market, and it seems to be buying the budget-conscious buyers who want a reliable brand and Redmi Note has been a known name in this segment for a long time.
The Redmi Note 14 SE 5G gets a 120Hz display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The phone has dual stereo speakers and gets Dolby Atmos support. Xiaomi provides a 50MP Sony Lytia sensor with OIS support.
