The Reliance Foundation Young Champs (RFYC), India’s premier football academy, marked a double milestone on Saturday with the graduation of its 2025 batch and the celebration of its 10th anniversary in youth football development.
The ceremony took place at the state-of-the-art Reliance Corporate Park in Mumbai, the home base of RFYC.
In a heartwarming gathering, the graduating players were honoured in the presence of their parents, RFYC’s entire coaching and support staff, current academy players, and a host of notable alumni.
Speaking at the event, RFYC alumnus and current Mumbai City FC midfielder Supratim Das said, “RFYC shaped not just my football, but also who I am off the pitch. The support system here is second to none. To see another batch graduate today is a proud moment for all of us and wish the best of football for the graduating players.”
The 2025 batch now stands ready to pursue professional contracts and further their footballing dreams, empowered by the holistic training and education received at RFYC. The event highlighted how the academy has been a consistent launchpad for emerging Indian talent, with over 40 graduates currently playing across the Indian Super League (ISL), I-League, and other national and state competitions.
As part of the celebrations, RFYC also paid tribute to long-serving staff members who have been part of the academy’s journey since its inception in 2015. Over the past decade, RFYC has established itself as a benchmark in Indian grassroots football, renowned for its “Child First, Player Second” approach, a comprehensive curriculum that integrates football excellence with education, nutrition, and life skills.
Earlier, the academy completed nationwide football clinics across Kerala, Goa, Maharashtra, and West Bengal with notable alumni of the academy from the respective states also taking part. The ceremony on Saturday reaffirmed RFYC’s commitment to developing well-rounded players who will continue to elevate Indian football.
