Bill Belichick would ask his 49-years-younger girlfriend Jordon Hudson to wear red pants for him in the early days of their relationship, a friend of the legendary NFL coach has claimed.
The revelation comes from a New York Times article, which also says that the 24-year-old has told at least one person that her and Belichick are engaged to be married.
That same report details how Belichick, 73, used to keep an eye out for the 24-year-old Hudson in the crowds at practice during his disastrous final season at the New England Patriots.
‘By the summer of 2023, she was spending time in Foxborough, Mass., where the Patriots are headquartered,’ the piece says.
‘When she attended training camp practices, she often wore red pants at the request of Mr. Belichick, so that he might more easily spot her in the crowd, according to a person who knows Mr. Belichick and who spoke on the condition of anonymity because Mr. Belichick had not given him permission to speak to reporters.’
Belichick left the Patriots after 24 seasons in January 2024, after a campaign that saw the team miss the playoffs with a miserable 4-13 record.

The attention surrounding the couple dramatically intensified three weeks ago when CBS shared footage of Hudson interrupting their interview with Belichick to stop him answering a question about how they met.
Curiously, it was thought to be widely known that they met on a flight in 2021 from Massachuessts to Florida.
An avalanche of revelations emerged off the back of the viral clip regarding Hudson’s conduct around Belichick.
Unnamed friends described her as a ‘runaway train’ amid reports claiming her presence ruined the prospect of the iconic ‘Hard Knocks’ football series filming Belichick coaching North Carolina in his first year at college level.
Belichick’s daughter-in-law made no secret of her concern, either.
Jennifer Belichick, the wife of Stephen Belichick – who is coaching alongside his fatther at North Carolina, responded to an Instagram discussion defending Hudson’s involvement in the CBS interview.
On a post which shows former Patriots star Julian Edelman sticking up for Hudson, claiming she was merely acting how any PR person would, Jennifer wrote: ‘Publicists act in a professional manner and don’t “storm” off set delaying an interview.’
Her comment seemingly confirmed reports that at a different stage of the CBS interview, Hudson stormed out of the room and caused a 30-minute delay to proceedings.
The couple were last seen together in exclusive Daily Mail pictures holding hands while leaving the Maine beauty pageant on May 18, where Hudson finished third.
