The huge waterpark officially opens for the season on May 9. It’s the biggest waterpark in Cyprus and spans a whopping 100,000 sqm/107,000 sq ft.
There are 30 different slides to try with attractions suitable for all ages.
And history fans will need to visit Kourion, an incredible set of ancient ruins in Limassol.
Visitors can marvel at Kourion’s restored amphitheatre or even catch a performance there. Tourists can also explore the ‘House of Eustolious’, a restored private villa.
Limassol Castle is another of the city’s top sites and dates back to the medieval era. It now houses a medieval museum.
Meanwhile, animal-lovers won’t want to leave without paying a visit to the Malcolm Cat Sanctuary.

One visitor wrote on Tripadvisor: ‘This charity has 200 cats and kittens and it was great to pay a visit. Both cats and kittens are very affectionate.’
When it comes to eating out, Limassol is known for its seafood and tourists can expect to see grilled octopus and fried fish at many of the city’s restaurants.
For dessert, don’t miss loukoumades – mini doughnuts that are served hot and drizzled with sugar syrup.
Limassol is also known for its wine with tourists able to join a wine tour to visit the surrounding villages and try different varieties.
