The latest season of Roadies featured Ashu Jain, a 57-year-old fitness influencer known as ‘Not Just A Grandma.’ The contestant won over everyone in the reality show. Her journey on Roadies received a lot of support from fans, who praised her for defying stereotypes related to age. Recently, Ashu revealed how she surprised her family by participating in Roadies XX. The influencer further stated that her son even teased her.
In an interview, Ashu revealed how her family’s reaction to her participation in Roadies:XX shocked her. Her determination to defy social norms and pursue her passion has remained consistent throughout Ashu Jain’s Roadies’ journey.
Ashu Jain’s involvement in Roadies XX sparked contentious debates among participants and the audience. Many individuals have been impressed by her dedication, which defies the common perceptions about aging. “They were in disbelief when I told them that I’m going on the show. My son even teased me when they got to know that I was selected. Overall, everyone was very happy, and that is what matters,” Ashu Jain revealed, talking about her family’s reaction.
Ashu Jain also expressed disappointment that her journey in Roadies XX was cut short before she had a chance to prove herself.
There was also some controversy around her journey on the show. Gang leader Prince Narula stated that Ashu Jain wasn’t doing well for the gang in one episode. He also made remarks about her age. Meanwhile, another gang leader, Neha Dhupia, defended Ashu, which caused a furious dispute, adding, “It’s not right to pass comments about someone’s age and can make them feel left out.” Additionally, Elvish Yadav also stood up for Ashu by sarcastically remarking, “As per them, Ashu Ji has become too old for work!”
Fans were disappointed when Ashu Jain was eliminated from Roadies XX. Through social media posts, they emphasised that her journey was an inspiration to many.
