Rohit Sharma finds himself in the record books yet again as the Mumbai Indians star creates history in the Indian Premier League after his blistering knock against the Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League 2025 playoff clash at the Mullanpur Stadium on Friday evening.
Rohit, who scored his fifty in 28 deliveries to bring up his 47th half-century in the Indian Premier League, gave Mumbai the perfect start alongside Jonny Bairstow to put his side way in front. He smashed eight boundaries and two sixes, once again showcasing how effortlessly he can make batting look when he is in form.
It should also be noted that the Titans dropped multiple chances in the power-play stages to give Rohit a second chance to redeem himself.
He becomes the second player to reach the 300 sixes milestone. The first to reach this was none other than Chris Gayle, who represented franchises like the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Kolkata Knight Riders and the Punjab Kings.
