India’s 4-1 series win over England highlighted the brilliance of young talents like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, and debutants Rajt Patidar, Dhruv Jurel, and Sarfaraz Khan, who stepped up in the absence of seniors like Virat Kohli and Mohammed Shami. Rahul-Goenka Exchange in IPL 2024
Earlier this year, an animated exchange between LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka and the then captain KL Rahul after a loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad went viral. The conversation sparked speculations of discord. LSG and Rahul later parted ways, and the wicketkeeper-batter joined Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2025 mega auction.

Team India’s Victory Parade

Tendulkar, Kambli Reunite
This incident happened earlier this month when stars of Mumbai cricket gathered at an event to honour renowned cricket coach Late Ramakant Achrekar. Two of his students, who went to represent India but endured completely different fates, Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli met each other at that event. However, the latter’s condition shocked everyone as he appeared physically weak and wasn’t ready to leave Sachin’s hand.
It’s coming too slow
Yashasvi Jaiswal’s first Test series down under and after securing a duck in the first innings of the Perth Test, the Mumbai batter smashed 161 in India’s second essay. During his knock, he tried to pull Mitchell Starc’s leg, saying, ‘It’s coming too slow’. It wasn’t a great outing for the left-arm pacer as he picked just 1 for 111.
Ashwin Calling It Quits
This year saw a legend of the game silently stepping away from the game after serving the country for 14 years. Ashwin retired as the second-highest wicket-taker for India in Tests after Anil Kumble. An overwhelmed Mohammed Siraj gave us an iconic line that ended up summarising the importance of Jasprit Bumrah to the Indian team. Bumrah was incredible during the T20 World Cup and won player-of-the-tournament award.
We also believe in Jassi bhai too.
