Soon after Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the chief minister of Maharashtra, he said the Mahayuti government will continue to work for the development of the state and momentum of the work done in the last two-and-a-half years will continue.
“Our roles in the government may have changed, but focus and direction remain same. Maharashtra will continue on the path of development in social, infrastructure, industrial sectors with speed,” he said.
Fadnavis said the Speaker’s election will be held during the special session of the state legislative assembly from December 7 to 9, while the cabinet expansion will take place before the winter session.
Shiv Sena president Eknath Shinde and NCP leader Ajit Pawar took oath in the role of the two deputies chief ministers.
