Roxy Jacenko suffers at-home emergency as son has ‘full blown meltdown’

PR guru Roxy Jacenko had the day from hell on Tuesday after her son’s pet hamster became trapped behind some furniture.

The 44-year-old shared a video of Hunter, 10, attempting to coax the tiny rodent out from underneath a set of built-in drawers.

Roxy had to resort to calling in a home service provider to rescue the pet after Hunter went into a ‘complete meltdown’ over the drama.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Roxy shared a video of Hunter attempting to coax the hamster out of its tight spot.

In the footage, Hunter can be heard pleading with the animal to ‘please come out’.

Servicemen then attempted to rescue the distressed creature from its hiding spot underneath a set of drawers.

‘Hunter is now having a full-blown meltdown, and all I can think of if it dies in there, it will stink,’ she joked in the caption.

Eventually, the servicemen were able to rescue the tiny grey hamster, and Roxy shared an image of the rodent being reunited with Hunter.

‘Tears of joy from one member of the house,’ she captioned the photo, in which Hunter can be seen crying.

‘It was not me I assure you,’ Roxy added.

It comes after Roxy shared a cringeworthy ‘mum’ experience with her followers last week.

Taking to her social media, the mother-of-two, 44, posted a photo of her son Hunter Curtis giving her a very rude gesture.

In the picture, Hunter could be seen floating in a pool on an oversized lounger while ‘saluting’ his mum by sticking out a single middle finger.

Roxy, meanwhile, appeared to take the cheeky display in her stride by posting a humorous caption along with Hunter’s image.

‘Finally, he said what he wanted to say, p*** off with the camera,’ she joked in the Instagram story.

The high-flying socialite also shared details of her day with Hunter, which included pool time, tanning and indulging in Tac Tics—the famed brand of mint lolly.

She included highlights of their day together in her stories including several featuring Hunter, who she shares with husband Oliver Curtis.

In one snap, Hunter could be seen posing by a bicycle.

‘First we went for a bike ride, because why wouldn’t you in 90% humidity,’ she said, adding their day ended with some pool time—and Hunter’s naughty gesture.

Roxy and husband Oliver Curtis relocated to Singapore with their children, daughter Pixie, 13, and son Hunter, 10 from Sydney in 2023.

They made the move when Oliver got a job in the country, with Roxy then shut down some of her Australian businesses to join him there.

However, she has since returned to Sydney and relaunched Sweaty Betty PR, two years after stepping down as director.

Confirming her return in September, Roxy explained she was not born for ‘housewifery’ and actually finds it much ‘easier’ to run six businesses.
